Hey there! I’m Ronald Grace III, but you can call me Ronnie, Roniiisan or now a Nerdy New Dad—whichever feels right! I’m a proud new dad to my precious son Miles. I’m a lifelong gamer, an anime lover, new potterhead (I know a little old to now discover it, thanks goes to my beautiful wife!) and now the face behind Nerdy New Dad. This is the first of many blog posts where I’ll be sharing my journey of balancing family life with my love for all things nerdy.

Why Nerdy New Dad?
The idea for Nerdy New Dad came from my own experience navigating the wild ride of parenthood while trying to hold on to my gaming controller and binge-watch anime or movies with whatever free time I can find. Becoming a father has been an incredible, life-changing experience, but it’s also come with its challenges, especially when you’re trying to keep up with gaming and the latest anime. I figured, why not share my experiences with others who might be in the same boat?
What to Expect
On this blog, you’ll find a bit of everything—game reviews, anime breakdowns, movie reviews, personal stories about being a dad, and tips on how to balance it all. Whether you’re a new parent trying to squeeze in some gaming or just someone who loves nerdy things, there will be something here for you, I promise. Plus, I’ll share highlights from my live streams where I talk gaming, anime, and my dad-life experiences with the awesome community I’m building.

My Journey So Far
I’m still learning every day as a new dad, and finding time to indulge in my nerdy passions is a challenge, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’ve discovered new ways to bond with my family while also enjoying the things I love, like introducing my little one to my favorite anime or squeezing in a quick game session during naps (when I’m not catching up on sleep myself!).

Why This Blog?
I started Nerdy New Dad to connect with fellow dads, gamers, anime fans, and anyone who enjoys nerdy content. There’s a lot of content out there, but not much that speaks to the unique challenges (and joys) of being a parent while still indulging in your nerdy passions. I hope to share my experiences, learn from others, and build a community of like-minded folks along the way.
